Editing room size, walls, and vertices

Already drew the room? Here's how to nudge walls, drag corners, and type exact dimensions to get it perfect.

Three ways to edit walls: type an exact length, drag a corner, or drag the whole wall.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Type a length

Select any wall. Inspector → Length field. Type the value. The wall resizes; adjacent walls flex to accommodate.

  2. 2

    Drag a corner

Open Edit Floor Plan Shape (left panel) for the full layout editor. Grab any corner handle and drag — the two walls meeting at that corner stretch to follow. Hold Shift to snap to clean 90° angles. Use this when you have a shape in mind but not a number.

The layout editor: every corner is a handle, every wall labeled, area updates live.
  3. 3

    Drag the whole wall

Grab a wall in its middle. Drag perpendicular to its length. The wall translates as a unit; rooms on either side resize.

  4. 4

    Add or remove a corner

In Edit Floor Plan Shape mode, use Split Walls / Add Walls to insert a corner, or Remove Walls to delete one — convert a rectangle into an L, or cut an angled corner. Click Update Floor Plan to commit, then view it in 3D.

The reshaped room in 3D — drag a corner, click Update, and it's ready to furnish.
