Half bath layout
Half bath = sink + toilet only. Minimum 3×6 feet. Two layouts: linear (3×6) or L (4×5).
A half bath has a toilet and a sink — no tub, no shower. The smallest functional bathroom; common on first floors for guest use.

- 1
Linear layout (3×6 feet)
Toilet at one end, sink at the other — both against the long wall (so they share a plumbing wall). Width 3 feet = minimum 15 inches from toilet centerline to each side = 30. Plus 6 inches of vanity overhang. Length 6 feet = toilet (30 in. deep incl. clearance) + sink (24 in.) + walkway (18+ in.).
- 2
L layout (4×5 feet)
Toilet on one wall, sink on perpendicular wall. Slightly more generous than linear; feels less cramped. Two plumbing walls = more expensive but better-looking.

Fixtures and finishes
Vanity: 18-24 inches wide × 16-18 deep. Pedestal sinks fit even smaller spaces. Toilet: standard 28 inches deep × 19 wide. Mirror above vanity. Towel ring or small towel bar.
